- Oliver was a Pvt. under Capt. James Jones in the Indian War. Also served under Capt. James A. Sweat 8/31 to 12/31/1838.
Oliver and his second wife are buried at Hepzibah Church Ware Co., GA
Lived about 2 miles from Blackshear towards Shiloh Church.
Moved to Manatee Co., Fla abt. 1875-80 having sold his home on Cross Swamp in Ware now Pierce Co. to James Thomas. About a year later he moved back and tried to buy back his old house. Having failed, he bought a farm near Fairfax, Ware Co. Home place passed to his widow and son Russell.
