- Obituary for Mrs. Ouida Tankersley Cason
Statesboro, Georgia
Mrs. Ouida Tankersley Cason, age 88, died Wednesday morning at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. The native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County was a homemaker. Mrs. Cason was a member of the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Abel Cason, a son, Arthur James “Jimmy” Cason and a grandson, Jeffrey Cason.
Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Annette Cason of Statesboro; two grandchildren, Carlos James and wife Christine Cason of Atlanta and Sarah Rebecca Cason of Statesboro and two great grandchildren, Tyler James and Eva Grace of Atlanta.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00am at the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church with Elder John Scott officiating. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Deal, Danny Woodrum, James Deal, William Earl Deal, William Tyson and Curtis Deal.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church, 210 Jonathan Road, Statesboro, Ga. 30458 or Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, Ga. 30459
