- John F. Nichols, 86, died Wednesday, June 11, 1997.
Mr. Nichols was a native of Baker County, Florida and had lived in Jacksonville most of his life. He had retired after 37 years from Jefferson Smurfit Corporation and was a member of Riverview Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Estelle L. Nichols; two sons, Paul J. Nichols and James F. (Shirley) Nichols; one sister, Maggie Dowling, one granddaughter, Kimberly Kidd and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday in the Chapel of COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1426 Rowe Avenue, with Rev. David Knight officiating.
Interment in Edgewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
