- Donald Milne, 89, of East Palatka passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness.
Donald was born in St. Augustine to Kenneth and Betty Gage Milne. He grew up in Palatka and returned 27 years ago, coming from Ocala. He was a 1945 graduate of the Bolles Military School in Jacksonville. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in United States Coast Guard. In 1989 he retired from Ring Power Corp. in Ocala as a service clerk after 28 years of service. He was a member of Palatka Baptist Temple where he served as choir director and treasurer. He was a former member of Missionary Baptist Church in Ocala where he served as choir director and worked with young people. He enjoyed boating, fishing and taking care of his yard.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Della Elois Milne of East Palatka; a daughter, Susan Barber of East Palatka; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Dianne Milne of Ocala; five grandchildren and spouses, Kris and Sandy Barber of San Mateo, Kimberley and Tommy Hunt of Mandeville, LA, Sarah and Jason Morgan of Ault, CO, Stephanie Milne of Ocala, and Matthew and Rachel Milne of Ocala; and eight great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 31st at the family residence with Pastor Ed Wilds officiating.
