Mr. Fore, surrounded by his loving family, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 26, 2006.

He was born August 12, 1920, in Sampson County, NC, to the late Walter Earl Fore and Mary Page Fore.

He attended Latta High School, served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII, and returned to Southern Railroad after his tour in the Pacific. On December 11, 1946, he was united in marriage to Cleo Morgan in Savannah, GA. Mr. Fore worked with Southern Railroad until retirement in 1981. Starting out on banana trains, he retired after 40 years as a conductor. He was a strong, virtuous and hard working man. In 1964, Mr. Fore moved his family to the country, Irmo, SC, to have a better life for the family. Mr. Fore was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and was a Mason. More than anything, he loved his home and family and was deeply loved and respected. Each year he planted a beautiful garden that was harvested, canned and put up in the smoke house for winter.

He is survived by his six children, Earl (Correy) Fore, Tricia Fore Page, Kathie Fore Floyd, Phillip (Millie) Fore, Douglas (Gina) Fore, Jane Fore; twenty-four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo; his daughter, Mary and great grandson, Nathan Cline.
