____________________________ Last Rites Held For Mrs. Milton
The many friends of Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Milton throughout South Georgia were grieved to learn of her death which occurred early Saturday morning at the home of her grandson, E. R. Collins in Barwick. Mrs. Milton was 90 years of age and had resided in Brooks county practically all her life. She was well known and loved by many friends, not only in Brooks county but throughout this section.
Mrs. Milton was born in South Carolina 90 years ago, a child of the late Mrs. and Mrs. John Jarvis. She moved to Brooks county as a child and in 1876 was married to Marshall M. Milton. She was a consecrated member of the Baptist church and exemplified those fine virtuous traits which made her a favorite with many friends.
Funeral services were held from the home in Barwick Sunday afternoon with Rev. C. M. Smith officiating and interment followed at Union cemetery. The McGowan-Maxwell Company of Quitman had charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Milton is survived by the following sons and daughters: Mrs. W. J. Duggar, of Barwick, Mrs. J. A. Horne of Jacksonville, Mrs. T. D. Boone, Sr. of
Savannah, J. A. Milton of Quitman and W. H. Milton of Cordele. She is also survived by several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
