  	Mr Francis Edward Rivenbark, 74 News & Observer, The (Raleigh, NC) - Friday, March 30, 2001 SURF CITY - Francis Edward Rivenbark of Surf City, NC died Wednesday, March 28, 2001 at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville, NC. He was born June 16, 1926 in Sampson County, NC, son of the late Preston E. Rivenbark, Sr. and Etter Mae Cockman Rivenbark and was also preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Taylor and his brothers, Linwood Rivenbark, Joseph Rivenbark and Wayland Rivenbark. Mr. Rivenbark was a member of Surf City Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy during World War II and retired from the Timme Corporation after 20 years of service. Surviving are his children, Jan Manning of Wallace, NC, Steve Rivenbark of Willard, NC, and Glenn Rivenbark of Atlanta, GA; three granddaughters; four great-grandsons; five brothers, Preston E. Rivenbark, Jr. of Burgaw, NC, Bobby Rivenbark of Long Beach, NC, Jimmy Rivenbark of Harrells, NC, Rev. Rubert Rivenbark of Spring Lake, NC, and Donald Rivenbark of Bur gaw, NC; three sisters, Nelva Albury of Surf City, NC, Charlotte Lanier of Wallace, NC, and Connie Pittman of Thomasville, NC; an adopted sister Jessie Borchers of Surf City, NC; a special niece, Earlene Graham; a great-niece, Stephanie Kenneway; a great-nephew, Michael Kenneway Jr; many other nieces and nephews several great-nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2001 at Surf City Baptist Church by Rev. Don Horn, Rev. Rubert Rivenbark, and Mayor Zander Guy. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mayor Zander Guy, Larry Tingen, Terry Duggins, Forest Hamme, Horace Gore, and Kirby King. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel and other times at their residence.
