- Lori Donaldson, 57, of Metter died Sunday, December 22, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah. She was born in Sacramento, California becoming a southerner after her marriage. She lived in Statesboro before moving to Metter in 1976 Lori was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and Nana. She had a humorous personality, enjoyed cooking and sewing but had her “tough” side too. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Knight and a brother Mark Stephen Loban.
Survivors are her husband of 37 years, Wade Cecil Donaldson; two sons. Mark Steven Loban of Statesboro and Rawleigh Donaldson of Metter; a daughter, Pamela Harper, of Reidsville; father, Ronnie Loban, Sr. of Atlanta; three sisters, Pam Aus of Alaska, Lisa Loban and Lynn Gudjonsson both of Washington; a half-brother, Ronnie Loban, Jr. of Atlanta and a half-sister, Candi Stoner of Atlanta; two grandchildren, Elina and Elijah Harper and one on the way.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel with Rev. Doug Wiesel and Rev. James Lynn officiating. After services, a private burial will follow on the family property. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service. Pallbearers will be James Lynn, Tony Young, Jim Donaldson, Justin Aldrich, Jeremy Aldrich and Michael Coursey.
Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter is in charge of arrangements.
