Julion H. Horner, 64, Port Charlotte, died Oct. 1, 2000.
He was born Jan. 25, 1936, in Ebb and came to Port Charlotte 43 years ago from Monticello. He was a Navy veteran and a land surveyor for a construction company.
He was a past member of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Brooksfield. He served as an auxiliary deputy with the Charlotte County Sheriff's office in the early 1970s and was a member of Society of Professional Land Surveyors. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte.
Survivors include his wife, Janice T; two sons, Randall L. and David T., both of North Port; a daughter, Robin E. Bergstrom of Big Cabin, Okla.; three brothers, Leonard E. and David G., both of Perry, and Joseph J. of Punta Gorda; a sister, Susie R. Jones of Monticello; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, with services at 10 a.m. Friday, at Paul Schelm Funeral Home. Burial will be in Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda.
