Margaret Hasenack Farrin, 83, died December 8, 2006. Born in Shumway on November 17, 1923, she resided in Huerfano County in several coal mining camps and then in Walsenburg for her entire life.
Predeceased by husbands, Albert Kimbrel and Duaine Farrin and brother, Fred Hasenack.
Survivors include her children, Thomas (Barbara, Robert and Kathleen Kimbrel, brother, William Hasenack, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous family members.
She owned and operated the E&S Motel for 30 years and belonged to St. Mary Church. She thoroughly enjoyed all games, activities and was especially proud to represent the Veterans Home as the Silver Queen Candidate for 2006. Sincere thanks and gratitude to the entire staff of Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home for the kindness and excellent care given for the past 2 ½ years.
Memorial service will be at the Veterans Home at 2 p.m., Friday, December 15.
