WHITEVILLE Ishmael Formyduval Sr., 92, of the Old Dock community, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at his residence. He was the son of the late Alma B. Formyduval and Dessie Millican Formyduval and was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Horne Formyduval.
Mr. Formyduval served in the Army during WWII.
He attended Palmyra Baptist Church.
Final rites were held Saturday, April 5 in the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Ken Sides officiating. Burial was in Columbus Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Ishamael Formyduval Jr. and wife, Phyllis, of South Port and Kim Formyduval and wife, Alice of Columbia, S.C.; one daughter, Jewel Formyduval Dart, and husband, John, of Columbia, S.C.; one brother, Samuel Formyduval and wife, Bettie, of Shallotte; two sisters, Geraldine Inman and husband, Larry, of Charlotte and Patricia Anderson and husband, Jimmy, of Raleigh; one nephew, Adam Formyduval of Shallotte; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Community Hospice or a charity of one's choice.
