Deceased Name: Lamar Cromer
CORDELE - Lamar Cromer, age 84, died Friday, December 12, at the Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehabilitation. Services will be Sunday, December 14, at 4P.M. at Cordele First Baptist Church with interment at Sunnyside Cemetery.
Mr. Cromer was a native of Macon County, GA. He was a retired salesman with Rooney Bowen Chevrolet and a member of Cordele First Baptist Church where he also served as a Deacon. Mr. Cromer had served as chairman for the Church Ushers, the Crisp County Red Cross and Cordele Community Club House. He was a member of the Cordele Lions Club and he was Past District Governor for 18-C. He was a Veteran, serving in W.W.II in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Cromer of Cordele; three sons, Jack Cromer of Cordele, Hugh Cromer of Macon, and Wilkes Cromer of Greensboro, NC; four daughters, Gloria Tripp of Abbeville, Patsy Ruendia of Gainesville, Ann Daws of Macon, and Jenny Faircloth of Charleston, SC; two step-daughters, Martha Kent and Robbie Ray, both of Vienna, GA; two brothers, Wilburn Cromer and L. B. Cromer, both of Cordele; and sixteen grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 13, 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
Memorials may be sent to the Cordele First Baptist Church Youth Fund.
Hughes and Wright Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
