- Mrs. Virue Edith Rowe Todd, 82 of Starke died at Shands AGH in Gainesville on Monday, September 14, 2009.
Mrs. Todd was born in Nassau County on April 5, 1927 to the late Raphord and Arrie (Johnson) Rowe. In 1974 Mrs. Todd moved to Bradford County and attended the River of Life Church of God and was a homemaker.
Her survivors include her husband of 35 years: Ed Ray Todd of Starke. One daughter: Kathy Crews of Hilliard, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Roy Lightsey.
Viewing for Mrs. Todd will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, 6-8 p.m. in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 11 OÕclock in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel with the Reverend Robert Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Sapp Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions please be made to the River of Life Church of God Academy Dept., 2225 N. Temple Ave., Starke, FL 32091. Arrangements are being held under the care of JONES-GALLAGHER Funeral Home, 514 E. Nona St., Starke, FL 32091. 904-964-6200.
