Mr. Arthur James "Jimmy" Cason, age 58, died Saturday at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. The native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County was a member of the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church. Mr. Cason farmed for over twenty years and for the past fifteen years worked as a surveyor and later with All Day Land Surveying of Brooklet. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Cason was preceded in death by his father, James Abel Cason.
Surviving is his wife of 24 years, Annette Brigdon Cason of Statesboro; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Carlos James and Christine Cason of Atlanta and Jeffery John Cason of Statesboro; a daughter, Sarah Rebecca Cason of Statesboro; his mother, Ouida Cason of Statesboro; and a grandson, Tyler James Cason of Atlanta.
The visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church with Elder John Scott officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Jeffrey John Cason, 32, died Wednesday July 4, 2007, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A native and life-long resident of Bulloch County, Jeffrey was of the Primitive Baptist faith. He was a 1993 graduate of Statesboro High School and attended Georgia Southern University. Mr. Cason was self employed in the construction industry. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur James "Jimmy" Cason and his grandfather, James Abel Cason.
Surviving are: his mother and stepfather, Ann and David Jacobs of Statesboro; a brother and sister-in-law, Carlos James and Christine Cason of Atlanta; a sister, Sarah Rebecca Cason of Statesboro; his stepmother, Annette B. Cason of Statesboro; his grandmother, Ouida Cason of Statesboro; a nephew, Tyler Cason of Atlanta and a step brother, Mark Jacobs of Statesboro.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Elder John Scott officiating.
Interment will be in the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
