William M. Collins, 72, died Sunday at Memorial Medical Center.
He was a native of Tattnall County and a longtime resident of Savannah. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army with service in the European Theater. He was retire as a machine operator with Union Camp Paper Corp after 37 years of service. He was a Baptist and a member of Laurel View Hunting Club.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Della Collins of Savannah; two sons, Gary Collins of Savannah and Jerry Collins of Richmond Hill; three daughters, Peggy Sweeney of Rincon, Pam Martin and Carol Denmark, both of Savannah; a brother Larry Collins of Collins; three sisters, Myrtle Hart of Collins, Bertie Cowart of Jessup and Janie Lynn of Decatur; six grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren (sic), several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Massey Chapel Funeral Home, burial at 2:30 p.m. in Cedar Creek Cemetery, near Collins.
VISITATION: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Massey Chapel Funeal Home.
