Sarah "Ruth" Johnson (Mama Nannie), 78, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's January 17, 2007.
She was formerly from Ellenwood, Georgia and resided at Morningside of Conyers Assisted Living until she went home to be with the Lord and her loving husband, Wesley Johnson, who preceded her in death.
She leaves behind a multitude of family, friends, nieces and nephews. She is survived by Tommy and Judy Johnson of Decatur, Georgia, Freddy Johnson of Acworth, Georgia, and Carolyn Newman and Marilyn Johnson of McDonough, Georgia; ten grandchildren, Jason and Laurie Newman, Jill and Marty Sliver, Wes and Alysia Bryan, Celeste and Todd Weber, Sam King, Jeff and Ashley Johnson, Genia Johnson, Julie Johnson, Alicia and Nathan Phillips, and Andrea Johnson; nine great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Christopher Newman, Nolan and Kendall Sliver, Sierra and Noah Bryan, Haleigh Weber, Logan Robinson and Destannie Hill, and special friends of the family, Randy Williams and Hugh McNair.
She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church in Ellenwood, Georgia for more than 30 years, a dedicated mother and wife, church worker, Sunday School teacher, G.A. leader, and homemaker. She spent many years employed with Sears Roebuck Co. and Brown Transport.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 19, 2007 at 2:00pm at Ward's Fairview Chapel with Reverend Mike Smith officiating.
