    John F. Huber III, 63, of Palatka, passed away suddenly Saturday, October 4, 2003.

    He was a native of Warren, Ohio and had resided in Palatka since 1947. He graduated from Palatka High School in 1957. He had worked as a photographer for the Palatka Daily News and Jacksonville Journal. He also had a distinguished career with Rodeheaver Boys Ranch, Citizens National Bank and the Putnam County Teachers Credit Union. He was also a freelance photographer for many years. He was a longtime member of College Park Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon among many other responsibilities.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Margaret Huber; and his granddaughter, Emily Ashley.

    He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Betty Greene Huber; a son, ACC (AW) John F. Huber IV; daughters and sons-in-law, Christi and Bruce Bellamy; Julie and Jerome Ashley; grandchildren, Jessica Lauren Bellamy, Alexander Bellamy and Elizabeth Ashley; sisters, Patti (Charles) Williams and Peggy Mangum.

    Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home of Palatka.
    Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8 at College Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Beauchamp officiating.

    Burial will follow in Palatka Memorial Gardens.
    Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home of Palatka is in charge of arrangements.

    HUBER John Franklin Huber, IV, age 48, of Jacksonville, died Monday, June 15, 2009 at Orange Park Medical Center after a short illness.

    He was born to the late John F. Huber, III and Betty Greene Huber on April 25, 1961 in Palatka, Florida and graduated from Palatka High School in 1979.

    While still attending high school, he worked as a photographer for the Florida Times Union and the Jacksonville Journal. In 1985,

    Frank joined the Navy and his first tour of duty was Japan, aboard the Midway. His other tours of duty included Cecil Field, Jacksonville, Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico, Pax River, Maryland, Italy, and Diego Garcia. His primary title was Carrier Air Traffic Control and later Center Controller. Before retiring in 2006, Frank was promoted to Chief Petty Officer. While in service, he was awarded many honors, including, Navy Commendation Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Expeditionary Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal and NATO Medal.

    He was preceded in death by his father, John F. Huber, III, grandparents, John and Margaret Huber, Carl and Mable Greene, and a niece, Emily Ashley.

    He is survived by his mother, Betty Greene Huber; sisters, Christi Bellamy and husband, Bruce, and Julie Ashley and husband, Jerome; nieces, nephew and grandnephew, Jessica Bellamy, Alex Bellamy, Elizabeth Ashley and Caleb Peterson; aunts, Peggy Braxton and husband, Steven and Patti Williams and husband, Charles and a multitude of cousins and extended family.

    Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 19th at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Rev. Barry Beauchamp officiating.

    Burial will follow in Palatka Memorial Gardens with the U.S. Navy conducting military honors.

    Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Johnson- Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.
