    GILLEN Michael E. Gillen, beloved husband of Ann Cummins Gillen passed away March 7, 2009 after a short illness. Born in Jacksonville August 12, 1946 to Morris "Buck" Gillen and Audrey King Gillen. He graduated from Paxon High School in 1964, University of Florida in 1972 and was a member of KA Fraternity. He spent a year working on the North Shore in Alaska followed by a year of rest and relaxation in Hawaii. He was a broker and realtor in the area for many years. In 1990 he moved to Michigan to attend law school, where he met his wife. Mike and Ann loved to travel and retired to Florida in 2005. Other survivors include his mother, Audrey Gillen, brother Steven Gillen of Orange Park, brother-in-law Paul Cummins (Elaine) of Walsall, England, stepdaughter Rebecca Rossiter (Shawn) of Michigan, stepson Sean Matz of South Carolina and four grandchildren. Life with Mike was an adventure. He is loved and will be missed. Visitation will be 5-7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, Edgewood Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2009 at the funeral home with Reverend David A. Holladay officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mike's name to the university of Florida Athletic Endowment Fund, www.uff.ufl.edu make a gift online inter collegant athletic in honor of excellence Michael Gillen, or mail donations to U of F Gator Boosters, P.O.
