    Notes:

    Died:
Mr. Kirkland Cantey O'Steen, 25, of Tallahassee, Fl. passed away peacefully at home, May 1st, 2015, from a brain aneurysm.

He was born January 16th, 1990 in Tallahassee, Fl., the first born son of Lisa Kirkland O'Steen, and Thomas Clyde O'Steen, both of Tallahassee.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Lucile "Busy" Summers Kirkland and W. Raymond Kirkland of Lake City, FL. He is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence Carlton O'Steen (Margaret Cantey) of Stuart, Florida.

Kirkland was currently employed as an analyst for Tax Watch. Kirkland loved to read and the desire for learning was instilled in him at an early age at Holy Comforter Episcopal School. From there he went to Leon High School and was a member of the 2007 National Champion Men's 2V Rowing Team. Rowing inspired Kirkland's love of strength conditioning and physical fitness. After attending Florida State, he graduated from the University of Florida in 2012 Cum Laude with a B.A. in history, one of his passions. Kirkland became an avid wing shooter at the age of 8, after dove hunting at Bienville with his Grandfather, Papa. Kirkland loved to be in the woods, whether it was running or walks with his family at Phipps plantation. When he wasn't in the woods, he was always impeccably dressed, no matter the occasion; never missing a chance to wear one of his bespoke suits, always with a freshly picked flower in his lapel. A true gentleman of the south, Kirkland was perfecting the bloody mary recipe passed down from his late grandfather Ray Kirkland. His love of spicy foods, Tabasco and any hot sauce, only helped in the pursuit of creating the perfect cocktail. Kirkland's family was the most cherished part of his life.

Kirkland is survived by his parents Tom and Lisa; his brothers Thomas and Drayton; grandparents Margaret and Larry. He is also survived by his Aunt Lynn Sullivan, and Cousins Jack and Carrie, of Jacksonville, FL., and numerous friends.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Beggs Funeral Home, 3322 Apalachee Pkwy.

The funeral was held on Tuesday, at 2:00 at Trinity United Methodist, 120 West Park Avenue, Tallahassee, FL. 32301.

Interment will be at 11:00am, Wednesday, May 6th at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Madison, FL.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1086, Tallahassee, FL 32302.
