Louis A. Kisala
Louis A. Kisala of Gainesville died Tuesday at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lake City. He was 82.
Mr. Kisala was born in Chicago and moved to Gainesville from Henderson, Nev., in 2000. He was a retired shipping clerk for Wisconsin Steel.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and served in Company A in the 141st Infantry in North Africa, Italy and France. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman's Badge, Distinguished Unit Citation, European Theatre of Operations Medal with three battle stars, American Theatre of Operations Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
He was a Catholic.
Survivors include a son, Louis J. Kisala of Gainesville; sisters Josephine Kuc of Chicago, Helen Kokot of Calumet City, Ill., and Ann Jane Shellito of Shell Lake, Wis.; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two step-great-grandchildren.
