    Obituary

    Howard Wilks, 94, a native of Lauderdale County, passed away March 30, 2011, at his residence. He was a member of Murphy's Chapel Church. He worked for 37 years at Reynolds Alloys and was a member of the Local Aluminum Workers 200.

    Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2011, at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011, in Greenview Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Keith Montgomery and Andy Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Murphy's Chapel Cemetery.

    Mr. Wilks was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Wilks; parents, John Thomas Wilks Sr. and Mildred Wilks; three sisters; and a host of friends.

    He is survived by a son, Billy Wilkes and wife, Judy; daughters, Martha Montgomery and husband, David, Joan Shields and husband, Jimmy; brothers, J.T. Wilks Jr. and wife, Edith, Kenneth Wilks; grandchildren, Clint Wilkes, Brad Wilkes, Lisa Bailey, Keith Montgomery, Becky Craig, Rhonda Patton, Brandon Shields; great-grandchildren, Ryan Wilkes, Katie Wilkes, Braxton Wilkes, Nikki Bailey, Chad Bailey, David E. Montgomery, Keshia Montgomery, Logan Craig, Corbin Craig, Isabella Patton and Bryleigh Patton.

    Pallbearers will be Clint Wilkes, Brad Wilkes, Scott Patton, Clay Craig, Brandon Shields and Randy Bailey.

    Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Wilkes, David E. Montgomery, Logan Craig, Corbin Craig, Chad Bailey, Braxton Wilkes, and all the surviving Cast House members of the 40's-70's.

    A very special thank you to Mackie Adams, Emily McDonald and Wiregrass Hospice Care and their service caregivers.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Murphy's Chapel Cemetery Fund; c/o Ronnie Brown.

    Obituary

    Billy Howard Wilkes, 71, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at ECM Hospital.

    Visitation will be 1:30-3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Greenview Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 3:30 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery.

    He was one of the founders and first president of the Cloverdale Volunteer Fire Department. He coached Little League baseball, was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church, where he helped to build the new church, a Scottish Rite Mason, a member of the Cloverdale Lions Club and was retired from Reynolds Alloys after 30 years of service.

    Mr. Wilkes was preceded in death by his parents, Howard O. and Evelyn Scott Wilkes.

    He is survived by his wife, Julia "Judy" Wilkes; sons, Clint Wilkes (Missy), Brad Wilkes; grandchildren, Ryan, Katie and Braxton Wilkes; sisters, Martha Montgomery (David), Joan Shields (Jimmy); and many nieces and nephews.

    Active pallbearers will be Harry Austin, Glenn David Austin, Ryan Wilkes, Keith Montgomery, Justin Hubbard and Wayne Jordan.

    Honorary pallbearers will be James Austin, Rex Keeton, Billy Heupel, Mary Lynn Jackson, Sharon Tidwell, W.J. Hall and Dwight Brown.

    The family expresses their deepest appreciation for the compassionate and loving care by Dr. Mitch Bowen, Dr. Felix Morris and the members of the Pulmonary Rehab Unit and Cardiac Care Unit.

    Bradley Regan Wilkes, age 45, of Florence passed away suddenly, Monday, October 8, 2012.

    Visitation will be Thursday, October 11, 12:00 Noon.-1:30 P.M. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence.

    The graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at the Pisgah Cemetery with Bob England and Bro. Philip Springer officiating.

    Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery.

    Pallbearers are, Keith Oakley, Tim Danielowicz, Ryan Wilkes, Wayne Jordan, Jason Hubbard and Keith Montgomery.

    Honorary Pallbearers, Joe Jordan, Harold Hubbard, David Montgomery and The Team Members of Monarch Tile .

    He went to Central High School, worked at Monarch Tile Company, loved Rock Climbing and the outdoors. Brad was a member of First Baptist Church of Cloverdale.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Billy H. Wilkes; grandparents, Howard and Evelyn Wilks, Eugene and Earline Marks. Survivors include his mother, Judy Wilkes; son, Braxton Wilkes; brother, Clint Wilkes (Missy); nephew, Ryan Wilkes; niece, Katie Wilkes.
