Mrs. Bertha Mae Milton, age 84, of Lake City, Fla. died Thursday, April 22, in the Health Center, Lake City, Fla. following a long illness. She was born in Homerville, Ga. and had resided in Lake City since 1938. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at the VA Medical Center, Lake City, Fla. and was formerly employed at Aero Corp., Rossi Hardware and Giebeig Grocery in Lake City. She loved gardening, growing flowers, fishing, cooking and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Spikes and her stepfather and mother, Ben and Effie Sherrod, a sister, Betty Absher and a brother, Benjamin Sherrod.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Willie Milton of Lake City, Fla.: Four daughters, Pat M. Raulerson of Live Oak, Fla., Janis E. Milton, Judi (Greg) Bedenbaugh and Joyce (David) Spradley all of Lake City, Fla.: One son, Ronnie (Margarette) Milton of Mayo, Fla.: Two brothers, Walter Sherrod of Ft. White, Fla. and Howard Sherrod of Lake City, Fla.: Twelve grandchildren, 11 3/4 (Owen) great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Sunday, April 25, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Legg, Pastor of the Mayo Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Cemetery, Lake City, Fla.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M. Saturday, April 24, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Fla. Please make memorials to Haven Hospice, 6037 West U.S. 90, Lake City, Fla. 32055

Patricia Milton Raulerson, 66, of Lake City, Fl., passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013, at Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, after an extended illness.
Born June 22, 1947 in Lake City, FL., to the late Willie Milton and Bertha Mae Spikes. She was a member of Wellborn Baptist Church. She retired after 29 years from the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Willie and Bertha Milton, and her husband Quincy Raulerson.
Survivors include two sons; Donny Thomas of Lake City, FL, and Wade (Manda) Thomas of Live Oak, FL; one daughter; Denise Joyce of Lake City, FL; step-children, Sherri (Don) Lee of Lake City, FL, and Allen (Stacey) Raulerson of Ft. Myers, FL, one brother; Ronnie Milton of Mayo, FL, three sisters; Joyce Spradley, Judy Bedenbaugh, and Janice Milton all of Lake City, FL, eight grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Service for Mrs. Raulerson will be conducted at 11:00am, on Monday, December 23, 2013,at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Elmer Crews officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service 10:00am -11:00am on December 23, 2013 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations please be made to Haven Hospice, 6037 US Hwy 90 West, Lake City, Fl., 32055 or to Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch, 2486 Cecil Webb Place, Live Oak, Fl., 32064.
