Darlington- Exley H. Wilkes, 89, died in a local hospital Saturday, Jan 3, 2015. Funeral Services will be Monday, Jan. 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Bethea Baptist Home, Darlington. Interment will be in the Lamar Cemetery, Lamar, SC.
Mr. Wilkes was born in Lamar, SC, the son of the late Tilman and Mamie Jordan Wilkes. He served his country in the US Navy. He worked as an Insurance Agent before retiring.
He is survived by a son, Arvle Wilkes and his wife, Margaret, of Florence.
