    SUPPLY - Madeline Phelps Caison, age 84, of 2864 Holden Beach Road, Supply, died Wednesday, November 13, 2002, at Brunswick Community Hospital.

    Mrs. Caison was born in Brunswick County, July 17, 1918, and was the daughter of the late Hendricks T. and Mattie Hewett Phelps. She was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church. She was wife of the late James Edward Caison Sr. and was also preceded in death by a son, James Edward Caison Jr.

    She is survived by two sons, Jerry L. Caison Sr. and wife Rose and Gene A. Caison Sr. and wife Judy, all of Supply; two brothers, Chad Phelps of Bolivia and Mack Phelps of Supply; a sister, Nell Holden of Bolivia; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Sharon United Methodist Church with Reverend Eddie Hill and Reverend Bill McNeill officiating.

    Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

    Pallbearers will be Gene Allen Caison Jr., Greg Caison, Tony Caison, Jerry L. Caison Jr., Troy H. Caison and Freddie Fulford.

    The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, Supply Chapel, and other times from the homes of Gene A. Caison Sr. and Jerry L. Caison Sr.

    BOLIVIA -- Mr. Gene Allen Caison Sr., age 66, of 1630 Seahorse Run Rd., Bolivia, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009 , at his home.

    Mr. Caison was born in Brunswick County on October 22, 1942, and was the son of the late James Edward Caison Sr. and Madeline Phelps Caison. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Edward Caison Jr. He was a retired deck captain with Norfolk Dredging Company. Mr. Caison was a member of Supply Baptist Church. He was a member of Shallotte Lodge #727 A.F & A.M. and a member of the Yorkrite.

    He is survived by his wife, Judy Maggard Caison of the home; three sons, Gene A. Caison Jr. and wife Renee of Supply, Greg Caison and wife Angel of Bolivia, Tony Caison and wife Shannon of Bolivia; grandchildren, Kristen, Ryan, Rodney, Corey, Danielle, Michael and Anthony; a brother, Jerry Caison and wife Rose of Supply.

    Funeral services will be held Saturday May 2, 2009, at 11:00 am at Supply Baptist Church with Reverend Bill McNeill officiating.

    Burial will follow in the Royal Oak Cemetery with Masonic rites accorded by Shallotte Lodge #727 A.F. & A.M.

    The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday Evening at Supply Baptist Church, Ocean Highway , Supply and other times from the home.

    Anthony Dale “Tony” Caison Sr., age 39, of Bolivia died Monday January 27, 2014 at SECU Hospice House, Brunswick Facility.

    Tony was born in New Hanover County on October 14, 1974 and was the son of Judy Maggard Caison of Bolivia and the late Gene A. Caison Sr. He was a graduate of West Brunswick High School. He was a member of the football team #70 where today his trophy’s and jersey are on display.

    Tony was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was a devoted servant to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and also his community. He was a career Law Enforcement Officer, serving with the Holden Beach Police Department and Shallotte Police Department and finding his home with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office where he retired as Sergeant with the Detective Division. He also was a member of the Civietown Fire Department. Following his retirement Tony became very active with the Lockwood Folly Dixie Youth where he coached the Little Chiefs Football Team as well as Baseball and the girls Basketball team. He served as a Board Member and Vice-President with the Lockwood Folly Parks and Recreation. Tony was an avid Pittsburg Steelers Fan.

    Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Shannon C. Caison; two sons, Michael Lee Caison, Anthony Dale Caison Jr.; two brothers, Gene Allen Caison Jr. and wife Renee of Supply, Greg Caison and wife Angel of Bolivia; three nephews, Rodney, Corey, Ryan; two nieces, Kristen and Danielle.

    Funeral services will be held Saturday February 1, 2014 at 1pm at the Brunswick Community College Odell Williamson Auditorium with Reverend Anthony Clemmons and Reverend Eddie Hill officiating.

    Burial will follow in the Royal Oak Cemetery with Law Enforcement Honors by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department and Fireman’s Honors.

    Pallbearers will be the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard.

    Honorary Pallbearers will be Dewayne Kirby, Keith Smith, Bossy Clemmons, Jimmy St. George, William Powell, Ed Carter, members of the Brunswick County Sheriffs Office, Civietown Fire Department and the Lockwood Folly’s Dixie Youth.

    The family will receive friends Friday January 31st from 6-8 pm at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Bolivia.

    GENE ALLEN CAISON, JR. Mr. Gene Allen Caison, Jr., 53, of Supply died Sunday March 27, 2016. Mr. Caison was born in New Hanover County on November 30, 1962 and was the son of Judy M. Caison of Bolivia and the late Gene Allen Caison Sr.

    He was also preceded in death by a brother, Tony Caison. Gene Allen retired from the Brunswick County Sheriffs Department after 30 years of Service. His career with the Sheriffs office began with the patrol division and he later was a detective and then a detective with the Major Crimes Division and then Captain over the Detective Division and prior to his retirement he served as a liaison for the District Attorney's Office. He was a member of Shallotte Lodge 727 A.F. & A.M.

    Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Renee Long Caison; two children, Kristen Isenhour and husband Bryan of Holden Beach, Ryan Caison of the home; a brother, Greg Caison and wife Angel of Bolivia, Father and Mother In-Law, Mack and Jackie Long of Supply; Brother In-Law, Malcolm Long and wife Emily of Shallotte; ten nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 30, 2016 at 3pm at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Reverend Anthony Clemmons and Reverend Gary Boling officiating. Burial will follow in the Royal Oak Cemetery, Supply.

    Pallbearers will be members of the Brunswick County Sheriffs Department Honor Guard.

    Honorary pallbearers will be, Ed Carter, James Brown, Kevin Holden, Joey Scoggins, Keith Smith, Mark Jarman, Phil Perry, Donnell Marlowe, Mark Francisco, David Crocker, Sam Davis, Mark Trull.

    The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Galloway Rd., Bolivia .

    Retired Brunswick Co. detective dies at age 53

    SUPPLY, NC (WECT) -
    Gene Allen Caison, who spent 30 years with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office before retiring, died at the age of 53 on Sunday, March 27.

    According to his obituary, Caison started his career with the sheriff's office with the patrol division before becoming a detective. He was a detective with the major crimes division then captain of the detective division and served as a liaison for the District Attorney's Office.

    He is survived by his wife, Renee Long Caison, and his two children, Kristen Isenhour and Ryan Caison.

    Caison's brother, Tony Caison, who was a former detective with the BCSO, passed away after a battle with ampullary cancer in 2014.
