    Sheldon Rubin Beasley, 60, of Macclenny died Wednesday afternoon in a Starke hospital.

    Mr. Beasley was a lifelong resident of Baker County, Fl. and was a retired power plant operator, having retired in 1960 with civil service, U.S. Air Force, Patrick Air Force Base, Coco Beach, Fl. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.

    Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eva Jean Beasley of Macclenny, a daughter, Miss Eva Deborah Beasley of Macclenny, a step daughter, Mrs. Carol Jean Hunter of Whistler, Al; six sons, Johnny O. Beasley of Mobile, Al., Sheldon R. Beasley, Jr. of U.S. Air Force, Moody AFB; Kenneth F., Darrell H., Douglas E., Alan B. Beasley, all of Macclenny, one brother, Donald F. Beasley, Macclenny; and two step grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday in the Chapel of Macclenny Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lawton B. Thomas officiating, assisted by the Rev. Cecil Hayes.

    Interment will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery, north of Sanderson.

    Pallbearers will be: Active, Kyle Hunter, Joe Crews Jr., Stanley Parasis Jr., Lee Dugger, Roger Parrish, and R.H. Davis.

    Mr. Beasley was a native and lifelong resident of Baker County. Until his retirement, he was employed as a heavy equipment operator.

    Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eula B. Elliott Beasley, of Macclenny, one daughter, Mrs. Charles E. Eaver of Houston, TX., two sons, A.J. Beasley of Wichita Falls, TX., and Donald F. Beasley Jr. of Macclenny, ten grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Monday in the chapel of Macclenny Funeral Home, with the Rev. D.L. Griffis officiating.

    Pallbearers will be: Active, Eulie Dugger, Jack Dugger, Ed Yarbrough, Joe Dobson, John Barton, and Josie Davis Jr.

    Interment in Cedar Creek Cemetery, north of Sanderson.

    Wilma Jeanette Combs, age 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Monday, April 20, 2009. She was born in Olustee, Florida on March 22, 1922 to the late Laury & Lettie Beasley. She was married to the late Colonel W. Combs, Sr. for 45 years until his death in April 1986. She was retired from Northeast Florida State Hospital as a Charge Aide after 23 years of dedicated service. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Macclenny, FL. She enjoyed fishing, traveling to the mountains but most of all she loved spending time with her family. We will miss her warm loving heart and strong spirit along with her Red Velvet Cake and Beef Stew. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Dewey, Elzie and Cecil Beasley and her sister?in-law: Beatrice Beasley.
    She leaves behind a legacy of love including her children: Barbara (Johnnie) Croft, Lynda Combs, Patricia (Lester) Davis, Sandra (Jim) Nickles, Nancy (Steve) Kennedy, Karen (Rodney) Little and Colonel (Gayle) Combs, Jr.; her sisters: Betty J. (Pete) Peters, Lois Pringle: her brother: Elic Beasley; her grandchildren: Sherrie Davis, Eddie Croft, John Croft, Bobbi Croft, James Croft, Melissa Ring, Stacy Hauge, Jason Davis, Jeff Davis, DeeDee Lawhon, Jimmy Nickles, Mike Nickles, Jenny Chambers, Eric Kennedy, Angie Little, Sarah Barry, Jessica Combs, Alicia Combs, Wesley Combs, David Godwin & Tonya Godwin; 30 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by many other caring family members and friends.
    The family will receive friends and family on Thursday April 23, 2009 from 6:00 ? 8:00 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Macclenny, FL. Funeral services and a Celebration of her life will be held on Friday April 24, 2009 at 11:00 am with Pastors Dan Powers & A.J. Nevill officiating at her church. Interment will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson, FL. The arrangements are under the care and direction of V. TODD

    Laurie Warren "Tiny" Williams, 81, a resident of Lake City, Florida passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010.

    Mr. Williams was a native of Olustee, Florida and had resided in Columbia County all of his life. He is the son of the late Aubrey Birley and Bertie Beasley Williams. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his wife of fifty-four years, Alice "Frankie" Williams. One sister, Lavenia Daughtry and two brothers, Jennings J.W. Williams and Francis Williams. He was a devoted member of the Watertown Congregational Methodist Church.

    Survivors include one daughter, Robin Nichols, Lake City, Florida. Two sons, Guy (Linda) Williams and Dale (Peggy) Williams both of Lake City, Florida. One sister, Myrtle Godwin, Callahan, Florida. Six grandchildren, Erin Weiffenbach, Laurie Williams, Brent (Aimee) Williams, Ty Williams, Dustin Gaylard and Ricki Nichols.

    Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be conducted Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in the Watertown Congregational Church with the Rev. Randy Ogburn, officiating. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Watertown Congregational Methodist Church, 378 NW Waldo Street, Lake City, Florida 32055. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 14, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
