Born in Barnwell, S.C., he moved to Central Florida from Fort Pierce in 1980. He was Episcopalian. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II. Survivors: wife, Elsie Marie; son, James, Howey-in-the-Hills; daughters, Juleen Kessler, Old Hickory, Tenn., Linda Cowen, Cocoa; stepson, H. Thomas Tremblay, Wichita, Kan.; stepdaughter, Andrea M. Tremblay, Leesburg; brother, Everette Q., Fruitland Park; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beyers Funeral Home, Lady Lake.
