SOPERTON - Mrs. Grace Wilkes Brantley, 73, died Wednesday at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin after a short illness. The Laurens County native lived in Treutlen County 40 years and was a member of Lothair United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Wade Brantley of Soperton; two daughters, Miss Sandra Holt of Soperton and Mrs. Sharon Folsom of Brunswick; a sister, Mrs. Sybil Simmons of Augusta; two brothers, Willie D. and David Baum Wilkes, Jr., both of Augusta.
Funeral: 4 p.m. today at Sammons Funeral Home, burial in Red Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery.

Funeral services for Ms. Sandra Grace Holt will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at in the chapel of Higgs Funeral Home in Soperton. Burial will follow in the Red Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Lee will officiate.
Ms. Holt died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at her home.
Ms. Holt, 75, was the daughter of the late Wade and Grace Wilkes Holt Brantley. She was born in Dublin, Ga., and lived most of her life in Treutlen County. She was a 1959 graduate of Treutlen High School and a 1963 graduate of Georgia Southern College. She was a retired elementary school teacher of 33 years and a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years. She was a lifelong member of the Lothair United Methodist Church, where she was the church pianist for over 63 years.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Dennis Folsom of Brunswick; numerous cousins and her church family.
Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lothair UMC Building Fund c/o Robbie Hardy, Treasurer at 246 Carter St. Soperton, GA 30457.
