Edward Robinson

Mr. Edward Robinson, 85, a lifelong resident of Columbia County passed away Friday morning, November 6, 2015 in the Lake City Medical Center. He was one of eleven children born to the late Amon George “A.G.” Robinson and Alpha Dicks Robinson. Mr. Robinson was a lifelong tobacco farmer and was a skilled block mason as well. He was a member of the Florida Farm Bureau, who enjoyed refereeing softball games, playing the guitar, coon hunting and was an avid “CB” and “HAM” radio enthusiast. Mr. Robinson was an active member of the Watertown Congregational Methodist Church having served on its board for several years.
Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Emma Robinson; a son, Dale Robinson (Donna); two daughters, Danette O’Neal (Chum) and Teresa Horne (Skibo); a brother, Carl Robinson (Mary “Mick”) and two sisters, Gracie Johnson and Katherine Creel all of Lake City. Nine grandchildren, Sherri Lynn O’Neal, Gregory O’Neal, Karen O’Neal, Matt Robinson, Christopher Robinson, Corey Robinson, Cody Horne, Cassandra Horne, Zach Horne and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Robinson will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 9, 2015 in the Watertown Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Ogburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00-5:00 in the Chapel of the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home.
