    Funeral services for Ellen Combs, 76 years of age, who died at her home at Taylor at 6 o'clock Tuesday evening, were held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. W.R. Rhoden of Macclenny and Rev. L.A. Davis, pastor, officiating. Key McCabe were in charge. Burial will follow after services in Taylor Cemetery. Mrs. Combs was a native of Baker County and a consistent member of Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church. A good woman, a good wife and mother and a devout Christian. Serving as pallbearers were Dewey Fish, Arthur Yarborough, Lawton Conner, Lucius Knabb, Everett Johns and Brantley Fraser. Mrs. Combs is survived by her husband, Isiah C. Combs of Taylor, nine daughters, Della Fordham, Mrs. Lola Royal, Mrs. Annie Higginbotham of Jacksonville, Mrs. Carrie Braddock, Mrs. Nettie Wilson, Taylor, Mrs. Betty Thrift and Mrs. Vessie Thrift, Macclenny, Mrs. Gussie Smith, Glen. St. Mary; five sons, Arthur and Ivey Combs, Glen St. Mary, Orie, Julian and Irvin Combs, Taylor, and a foster son, George Combs, Jacksonville; three sisters, Miss Mollie Harvey and Mrs. Lizzie Wells, Sanderson, and Mrs. Nella Harris, Jacksonville; a brother, Jesse Harvey, Sanderson; 39 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Harvey, six daughters; Mrs. Anna Barton, Mrs. Emma Lauramore, Mrs. Katie Hodges and Mrs. Thelma Alford, all of Macclenny, Mrs. Mamie Futch, Lawtey, Mrs. Myrtle Starling, Glen St. Mary; five sons; Jack and Arthur Harvey, Jacksonville, Dewey Harvey, Lawtey, Walter Harvey, Nichols, GA., Morris Harvey, Macclenny; four sisters; Miss Mollie Harvey, Mrs. Lizzie Wells, Mrs. Ellen Combs, all of Taylor, Mrs. W.H. Harris, Jacksonville; one half-sister, Mrs. Hazel Altman, Taylor, one brother, Jessie Harvey, Taylor, half-brothers, R.B. Harvey, Taylor, Williard and Cecil of the Army, fifty-two grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.
    Funeral services were conducted at 4 P.M. Monday, at Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church, with Rev. W.R. Rhoden officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.

    Oscar Harvey, 54, resident of Orange Park, died late last night after a very brief illness. Mr. Harvey was a member of the Baptist Church and he Palmetto Camp No 3 Woodmen of the World of Jacksonville. Those who survive him are: his wife, Mrs. Mattie Harvey, one daughter, Miss Minnie Harvey of Orange Park, two sons, Ralph and Oscar Harvey, both of Orange Park, and four sisters, Mrs. Allen Combs, Mrs. Neller Harris, and Misses Elizabeth and Mollie Harvey, all of Baker County, and three brothers, James Harvey of Macclenny, J. R. Harvey of Taylor, and Jesse Harvey of Sanderson. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the graveside in Gravely Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Walter J. Meade, pastor of the Woodlawn Baptist Church will officiate. The arrangements are directed by the Seashole Funeral Parlors.

    Mrs. Harris of 3540 Plum St. died Tuesday in a Cleveland, Ohio hospital.

    She was born in Baker County and had lived in Jacksonville for 17 years. She was a member of the Zion's Rest Primitive Baptist Church and at the time of her death was visiting her daughter, Mrs. Esther Fuller of Sandusky, Ohio. .

    Survivors include eight daughters, Mrs. Effie Harvey, Mrs. Ruby Kerlin, Mrs. Joyce Gardner, Jacksonville, Mrs. Opal Silcox in Germany, Mrs. Ruth Elmlinger, Huron, Ohio, Mrs. Esther Fuller, Sandusky, Ohio, Mrs. Dorothy Bourgeois Jr., of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Mrs. Altie Lindsay, San Diego, California; a son, Ernest H. Harris, Jacksonville; a brother, Jesse Harvey, Jacksonville, 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

    Pallbearers will be J.O. Nelson, S.A. Webb, Harry Patrick, W.L. Thompson, G.A. Knight, and Silas Hersey.

    Miss Mollie Harvey, 73, of route 2, box 469A1, Jacksonville, died Monday in a local hospital. Miss Harvey was a native and life-long resident of Duval County. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Neller Harris, Jacksonville; and a half-sister, Mrs Hazel Duckworth, of Gainesville, one brother, Jesse Harvey, of Jacksonville, and three half-brothers, R.B. Harvey, Glen St. Mary, Williard Harvey, St. George, GA., Cecil Harvey, Macclenny. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Wednesday in the Taylor Methodist Church. Elder Dewey Fish will officiate, assisted by Elder Otis Rhoden. The body will rest in the Trinity Chapel of John M. Brinkley in Macclenny until 1 PM Wednesday to be moved to the church to rest until the funeral hour. Interment will be in Taylor Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of John M. Brinkley, Mortician, of
    Macclenny. (Florist have flowers in Macclenny by 11:30 AM, Wednesday).

    Jesse Harvey, age 88, of 5364 Rio Grande Ave, Jacksonville, died Saturday in the V.A. Hospital in Lake City following an illness of several weeks. Mr. Harvey was a native of Baker County and had lived in Jacksonville for several years. He was a veteran of WW I and served with the U.S. Army. He was the son of the late John W. and Tina Cason Harvey. Mr. Harvey was a retired farmer. Surviving are: 4 daughters, Mrs. Frank Conner, Mrs. Jessie Rhoden, Mrs. Pauline Long, and Mrs. James H. Greene, all of Jacksonville; 2 sons, Carold J. Harvey, Brandon, MS. and Paul E. Harvey, Jacksonville; also 34 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 P.M. from the Taylor New Congregational Methodist Church with Elder G.D. Fish and Elder Henry Rhoden, officiating, assisted by Elder O.M. Yarborough. Pallbearers were: Tommy Rhoden, Dale Rhoden, Jimmy Rhoden, Joseph Long, Johnny Harvey, and Randolph Allen. Interment was in Taylor Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in charge of John M. Brinkley, Mortician, Macclenny.
