Marie McDonald Roberts -FORSYTH - Marie McDonald Roberts, age 91, died Monday, September 19, 2011.
Funeral services will be held at 11A.M., Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with burial in Monroe Memorial Gardens. Dr. Frank Cox will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M., Friday, September 23, 2011 at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Roberts, formerly of Covington and Duluth, Georgia and Dunnellon, Florida, is the widow of the late Reverend H. P. McDonald and W. C. "Cliff" Roberts and the daughter of the late C.H. and Tonnie Dickerson Robinson.
She was a member of North Metro First Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia. She was retired from Big Star after 27 and ½ years, was a member of Eastern Starr, Annie W. Smith Lodge and National AARP.
Survivors: daughter, Glenda McDonald Arthur of Cumming, Georgia; five step-children and spouses, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Smith, the late Bobbie Parham, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Roberts and John Roberts, all of Covington, Georgia and Dr. and Mrs. Tom Brown of Gainesville, Georgia; one granddaughter and her husband Deborah Arthur Hudgens and Dallas Scott Hudgens, III; two great grandchildren, Dallas Scott Hudgens, IV and Sam Hudgens of Falls Church, Virginia; seventeen step-grandchildren, nineteen step-great grandchildren and one step-great great grandchild.
