Elbert Jackson Weathers, 90, of Panama City, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
Elbert was born on June 1, 1932 in Panama City. He was a 1949 graduate of Bay High School and was a member of Callaway Assembly of God. Elbert worked as an Engineer at the Paper Mill 47 years before his retirement. He built and remodeled many churches in Panama City.
Elbert is preceded in death by his father, Rev. J.T. Weathers; mother, Flora Weathers; brother, Rev. Joe T. Weathers, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Hiram Ashley and Edmonia Weathers; maternal grandparents, Charlie and Molinda Marlowe; and sister-in-law, Mamie.
Left to treasure his memory is his wife of 71 years, Marjorie Martin Weathers; daughters, Deborah Becker (Rev. Hank Becker) of Golden Valley, ND and Kimberly Nutt (Wayne) of Albany GA; grandchildren, Amanda Mohl (Jason) of Beulah, ND, Ben Gustafson (Jessica) of Lake City, FL, Emilie Becker of Arlington, WA and Aaron Weathers (Heather) of Lake City, FL; great-grandchildren, John, Caleb, Ian, Jake and Lexa; sister, Vivian Pittman (LeRoy) of Clermont, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.
A private family entombment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
