Steve Norris, age 62 of Rowlett, TX, passed away November 28, 2011. He was born July 29, 1949, in Lake City, FL, to William Charles and Stella (Wheeler) Norris. Mr. Norris was an Accounts Manager for Carquest Auto Parts. He was a member of The Corvette Club of Texas and loved cars, boating and racing. He also loved vacations with his family and spending time with his grandkids.
Mr. Norris is survived by his wife: Sharon Norris of Rowlett, TX; sons: Jody Norris of Arlington, TX, Chad Norris & wife Laurie of Rowlett, TX, and Brian Norris & wife April of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren: Jasmine, Christian, Chase, Nolan, Nylah, and Neely Norris; future grandson: Nash Norris, due in April, 2012; sisters: Alice Norris of Abilene, TX, and Essie Bright of Comanche, TX; brother-in-law: Owen Smedley & wife Becky of Abilene, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, December 1, 2011, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
