    DISBROW, ANNIE MURIEL GREENE, 70, of Lake City, died Thursday, February 28, 2008, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

    A native and lifelong resident of Columbia County, Mrs. Disbrow was the daughter of the late John Franklin Greene and Mrs. Lucille Bishop Greene. Mrs. Disbrow was a graduating member of the Columbia High School Class of 1955. She was a school bus driver for the Columbia County School System for twenty-five years prior to retiring. Mrs. Disbrow was a charter member and author of the charter for the Deep Creek Volunteer Fire Department and continued as a "First Responder" member for many years. Mrs. Disbrow was also a "poll worker" for the Deep Creek voting precinct. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing and gardening.

    Mrs. Disbrow is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Kenneth R. "Ken" Disbrow; two sons, Jimmy Disbrow (Daisy) of Orlando, Florida; K.R. "Rick" Disbrow, Jr., of Lake City; a daughter, Deborah "Debbie" Bourie (Huron) of Lake City; her mother, Lucille Bishop Greene of Lake City; a brother, Jimmy Greene of Lake City; and four sisters, Linda Thomas and Nona Norris both of Lake City, Carol Batey of Fort White, Florida and Donna Hughes of Interlachen, Florida. Nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Disbrow will be conducted at 11AM, Wednesday, March 5, 2008 in the chapel of the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home.

    Interment will follow in the Greene Cemetery (441 North of Lake City).

    The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 Tuesday evening.

    In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donation be made to the Deep Creek Volunteer Fire Department, 9630 N. US Highway 441, Lake City, FL 32055.
