BURLINGTON - James Harold Ashe, 98, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at the Hospice Home. He was born in Franklin to the late Lonnie William and Mina Victoria Wilkes Ashe and was married for 39 years to Anna Taylor Ashe, who survives. He was formerly employed by Associated Transport and was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church. He was a talented welder who could make almost anything.

He is survived by his wife of the home; daughter, Yvonne (Ralph) Grow, of Virginia; stepdaughter, Dolores Apple, of Graham; stepson, Jimmy Henderson, of Elon; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, William Claude Ashe, of Franklin, and Tearl Francis Ashe, of Sylvia. He was preceded in death by his son, James "Jimmy" Harold Ashe Jr., an infant son, parents and three siblings.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Grove Park Baptist Church by the Rev. Bill Vickrey with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 p.m. Sunday before the service at the church.

James "Jim" Harold Ashe, Jr., age 60, died peacefully, in Kenner, LA, on Tuesday, February 20, 2007. He was born December 28, 1946 in Charlotte, North Carolina where he lived for many years until he moved to New Orleans, LA thirty years ago. Beloved father of Aimee C. Ashe, James H. Ashe III and Victoria L. Ashe. Father-in-law of Ronda T. Ashe. Son of James Harold Ashe, Sr. and Esther Tolbert. Stepson of Anna Taylor Ashe. Brother of Yvonne A. Grow. Brother-in-law of Rev. Ralph Grow. Stepbrother of Jimmy R. Henderson and Dolores T. Apple.

Jim was employed as an analyst by NCO Financial Systems, Inc. of Metairie, LA for the past 20 years and was recently awarded Employee of the Year for 2006. Jim was loved my many and will be missed by his family, friends, co-workers and especially by his three children.

Relatives, friends of the family and employees of NCO Financial Systems, Inc. are invited to attend the Funeral Services from the Metairie Funeral Home of Lamana-Panno-Fallo, 1717 Veterans Blvd. on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Vistation on Sunday, February 25, 2006 after 12:00 noon.
