Charles Leon Williams, Sr., 90, of Winter Haven, FL passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Hospice Forsythe Hospice House in Auburndale.
Born November 29, 1925 in Lake Butler, FL he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a veteran of WWII, serving as an Army Ranger. He worked for Laundry Textile Company, was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Haines City Ward. Was a member of the Winter Haven Moose Lodge and was a member of the American Legion Post 8 in Winter Haven.
He is survived by: his wife of 66 years, Wanuase; a son, Charles Leon Williams, Jr and his wife Glenda of Auburndale; 2 daughters, Glynda Jean Latham of Winter Haven and Sherri Denise Stewart and her husband Mark of Auburndale; a brother, James Curtis Williams of Lake City, FL a sister, Dorothy Alma Williams of The Villages, FL; 6 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am till 11:00am, Monday, July 11, 2016 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven.

James Curtis Williams, 96 of Lake City, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019, at the North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. He was born and raised in Union County, Florida to the late George Williams and Alma Raulerson Williams. Mr. Williams had lived most of his life in Lake City and had worked for Nettles Sausage for 30 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and attended the Price Creek Ward. Mr. Williams loved to work on the farm, fishing, hunting, dancing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Iris Dicks Williams in 2005, one son, Larry Wayne Williams, Sr., 2012, one great-great granddaughter, Lakelee Ryan Perkins in 2019 and 7 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his children, Jackson Williams, Lake City, Curry Williams (Kim), Branford and Iris Lackey (Larry), Lake City; one sister, “Dottie”, the Villages, FL; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Old Country Club Road. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Union County. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Roy David Bagley, 72, of Branford, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville from complications after heart surgery.
He was born October 15, 1942 in Union County, Florida to the late Clarence and Eunice Williams Bagley.
Mr. Bagley was raised in the Lake City area and graduated from Columbia High School class of 1960 and served in the United States Army from 1965-1967, having served in the Military Police.
He started driving semi-trucks at the age of sixteen for his father. He would haul produce for his dad as far away at the “Big Apple”, New York City, without the use of GPS or cell phones. Years later he would begin his own business, “Bagley Trucking”, in Lake City and eventually moving his business to Branford where he resided most of his life. When his children, Karri and Tim, were very young, they would go with him on his long truck hauls. Karri remembers many of those long rides with her dad and said, "It seemed like they would last for weeks and weeks," but she would not trade that time spent with him for anything.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was currently the Bishop of the Branford Ward in Branford, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Lewis Bagley.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Margaret Odom Bagley; daughter, Karri Sullivan (Kevin); son, Tim Bagley (Angie) all of Branford; six grandchildren, Kyli, Kara and Kenzi Holtzclaw, Tim and Taylor Bagley and Amy Sullivan; and three sisters, Betty Jane Joyner, Ormond Beach, Patsy Summers (Charles), Lake City and Geri Roberts (Jim), Branford.
Funeral services will be conducted (TODAY), Friday, May 29, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Branford Ward in Branford, FL with President Joshua Smith of the Lake City Stake presiding.
Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Lake Butler.

Patsy Ramona Bagley Summers, 83 of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville with her family by her side.
She was born on October 7, 1937 in Providence, Florida to the late Clarence Bagley and Eunice Williams Bagley and had been a longtime resident of Lake City. Mrs. Summers was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was attending the Price Creek Ward in Lake City. Through the years, Sister Summers held many callings in the church. She was full of compassionate service and truly loved serving others in many ways, especially by cooking her chicken and rice. Mrs. Summers was a loving mother and example to her children, a wonderful mother-in-law and a second mother to all of her children’s friends through the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Charles Leslie Summers; two sons, Brett Summers in December 1978 and Darrell Summers, August 2021; one grandson, Leslie Summerlin; and two brothers, Roy D. Bagley and Louis Bagley.
Survivors include her children, Patti Brown (Sonny), Worthington Springs; Denise Stewart (Larry), Branford, Dorinda Akers (Russell), Old Town, Darren Summers (Pam), Lake City, Sonya Anderson (Joey), Old Town, Tonya Byrd (Dale), Branford; daughter-in-law, Jonita Summers, Branford; two sisters, Betty Jane Joyner, Ormond Beach and Geraldine Roberts (Jim), Branford; three sisters-in-law, Margaret Bagley, Branford, Betty Joyce Bagley, Haines City and Janice Summers, Lake City; special friends, Bascom Beville, Branford and Jeff and Rubye Smedley, Lake City; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends also survive.

A walk through visitation for the community will be Sunday afternoon, August 29, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the funeral home and will also be available via face book live by visiting Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Face book. Mr. Jessie Drue Williams, Jr., age 71, of Lake City, Florida died Friday, April 5, in the V.A. Medical Center, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness.
Mr. Williams was born in Lake City, Florida and lived in Lakeland, Florida before moving back to Lake City many years ago. He worked and retired as electrician with PCS, White Springs, Florida for over thirty years. He was a Vietnam Army veteran and was an avid fox hunter and was inducted into the Florida State Fox Hunters Hall of Fame in 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie D. and Jeanette M. Waters Williams, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Williams of Lake City, Florida; Two daughters, Dana (Donald) Jacoby of Lakeland, Florida and Kelly (Charles) Brackin of White Springs, Florida; Two sons, Brian Williams and Tyler Williams both of Lake City, Florida; One sister, Sharon (John) Harris of Homosassa, Florida; one brother, Chuck Jeff) Floyd of Lake Butler, Florida; Ten grandchildren also survive.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Williams will be held at 10 A.M. Wednesday, April 10, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Mr. Jeffrey Thomas officiating.
Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Union County, Florida.

Mr. Larry Wayne Williams, Sr., age 65,of Lake City, Fla. died Wednesday. Feb. 22, in the Lake Shore Hospital, Lake City, Fla. fallowing an extended Illness,
He has resided in City all of his life. He was a boilermaker in the construction industry for 25 years until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of L.D.S, Branford Ward, a member of Local #199 of Tampa, Fla. Boilermakers Union and loved fishing, hunting, camping at Horseshoe Beach, Fla. and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother Iva Iris Dicks Williams and a sister-in-law Mary Lou Williams.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lynn Williams of Lake City, Fla.: his father, James Curtis Williams, Lake City, Three daughters, Deanna (Randy) Otis of West Jefferson, Ohio, Samantha (Walter) Howard and Cristin O'Neal Williams both of Lake City, Fla.: Three sons, Larry Wayne (Tammy} Williams, Jr., of Laporte, Texas, Christopher O'Neal Williams and Larry James Williams both of Lake City, Fla.: One sister, Iris (Larry) Lackey of Lake City, Fla.: Two brothers, Jackson Williams and Curry (Kara) Williams both of Lake City, Fla.: Father and mother-in-law Benny and Nadine Overton of Lakeland, Fla.: Seventeen grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
Funeral services will he conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, Feb. 25, in the Lake Butler Church of Jesus Christ of L.D.S., Lake Butler, Fla.
Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Union County, Fla.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Friday, Feb. 24, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Fla.

Charles Darrell Summers, 67 of Branford, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at the Lake City Medical Center in Lake City. He was born and raised in Lake City and had been a longtime resident of Branford. Darrell was a graduate of Columbia High School class of 1972 and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Branford Ward. He was passionate about his work as a hunting guide with Chinquapin Farms in Branford for over 40 years. Darrell served many years as President of the Suwannee River Riding Club in Branford. He was an advocate for the Rodeoing and enjoyed Barrel Racing with his daughters, granddaughter and many youth thru the years. Darrell loved life itself, but more than that, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Charles Leslie Summers; and one brother, Brett Summers.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Jonita Hamlin Summers, Branford; his mother, Patsy Bagley Summers, Lake City; his two daughters, Jessica Lea Summers (Tim McGraw), Lake City and Jennifer Lynn Summers Charles (Thorne), Branford; his brother, Darren Summers (Pam), Lake City; five sisters, Patti Brown (Sonny), Worthington Springs, Denise Stewart (Larry), Branford, Dorinda Akers (Russell), Old Town, Sonya Anderson (Joey), Old Town and Tonya Byrd (Dale), Branford; three grandchildren, Reagan McGraw, Trenton Charles and Janya Charles; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside funeral services for Darrell will be conducted on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Union County. Interment will follow. A walk thru visitation for the community will be held on Friday evening, August 20, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home and will also be available via face book live by visiting Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Face book. For family and friends attending the services, social distancing is requested for the safety of everyone. A celebration of life for Darrell will be announced at a later date at the Rodeo Arena in Branford.
