EDEN— Adeline Foley Wilkes, 89, of 416 Highland Dr., died Wednesday morning, Sept. 8, 2004, at Morehead Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Wilkes was born in Leaksville to the late Adam and Sarah Foley. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Eden, a life member of the American Contract Bridge League and one of the first life masters in bridge in this area and had a passion for the game. She was retired from Fieldcrest Mills and in her later years worked for Tri-City Florist.
Surviving are daughter Dr. Dru Wilkes, M.D., of Asheville; son Roger L. Wilkes Jr., of Chatham, Va., and Eden.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Fair Funeral Home.
