ROWE James Oliver Rowe, 77, passed away Friday July 27, 2007.
He was born in Macclenny, Florida on December 27, 1929 to the late John W. Rowe and Minnie Belle Rowe. Mr. Rowe was life long resident of Baker County and a member of First Baptist Church of Macclenny. He retired from Gulf Life Insurance Company in 1987 and served in the United States Navy from 1948-1952. He enjoyed golfing, camping, and playing the harmonica.
Family members include his wife of 52 years Bobbie Sue Rowe; children: Patricia D. Bennett of Macclenny, FL, and Julie R. Lee of Albany, GA; brother Cecil B. Rowe of Nashville, TN; sisters: Marjorie Sharp of Daytona Beach, FL and Lucille Klingensmith of Jacksonville, FL; and three grandchildren: Justin Bennett, Brooklyn Bennett and Chelsea Lee.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ferreira Chapel with Pastor Sam Kitching officiating.
Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Macclenny.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ferreira Chapel.
Contributions may be made to the Baker County Council on Aging Building Fund at 101 E. Macclenny Avenue, Macclenny, FL 32063.
