    W. Wayne Caison Sr., 72, of Rt. 1, Winnabow, died Wednesday evening in Dosher Memorial Hospital at Southport following an extended illness.

    He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Martha Willetts Caison of the home; a son, M-Sgt. Wesley W. Caison Jr. of the U S. Air Force at Paris, France; four daughters, Mrs. Marie Landress of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Rillie J. Robbins of Winnabow, and Miss Joyce Caison and Miss Mary Caison of the home, seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dan Caison of Winnabow.

    A native of Columbus County. he was the son of the late Sam and Frances Reynolds Caison and a member of Lebanon Baptist Church.

    Funeral arrangements will he announced by Coble's Oleander Chapel.

    Mrs. Joyce Elaine Caison, 80, of Winnabow died Tuesday December 5, 2006.

    Born February 13, 1926, Caison was the daughter of the late Wesley Wayne Caison Sr. and Martha Willetts Caison.

    She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Marie Landress and Mary Rich.

    Survivors include by a sister, Mrs. Rillie Jane Robbins of Winnabow, a brother, Wesley Wayne Caison, Jr. and wife Juanita of Boiling Spring Lakes, a brother in-law, Eudell Rich of Leland, and several nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services were held Thursday, December 7, 2006, at Lebanon Baptist Church of Winnabow with the Rev. Dan Bennett officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

    Pallbearers were Dean Robbins, Larry Young, Billy King, Tony King, Steve Guerin and Davie Thrift. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Neal Young, Gene Hart and David Sellers.

    The family wishes to express their appreciation to Mrs. June Harper, JoyceÂ’s devoted friend, and to the staff at Ocean Trail and Dosher Nursing Centers who lovingly cared for her during the last years of her life.

    Winnabow - Joyce Elaine Caison, 80, of Winnabow, passed from this life Tuesday, December 5, 2006.

    Joyce was born February 13, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Wesley Wayne Caison Sr. and Martha Willetts Caison. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Marie Landress and Mary Rich.

    She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Rillie Jane Robbins of Winnabow and a brother, Wesley Wayne Caison Jr. and wife Juanita of Boiling Spring Lakes and a brother-in-law, Eudell Rich of Leland and several nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be today, Thursday December 7, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Lebanon Baptist Church of Winnabow with Reverend Dan Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

    Pallbearers will be Dean Robbins, Larry Young, Billy King, Tony King, Steve Guerin, Davie Thrift.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Neal Young, Gene Hart, David Sellers.

    The family may be visited at the home of Rillie Robbins.

    Mr. Wesley Wayne Caison age 82 of Boiling Spring Lakes died Sunday July 15, 2012 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center.

    Mr. Caison was born in Brunswick County on March 3, 1930 and was the son of the late Wesley Wayne Caison Sr. and Martha Willetts Caison.

    Mr. Caison retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service. Following his service to his country he was employed with the Virginia Employment Commission for 17 years. He was a member of Southport Baptist Church.

    He is survived by his wife, Juanita M. Caison; two sons, Gregory Caison and wife Anna of Fairfax, VA., Gary Caison of Apple Valley, MN.; a grandson, Matthew Caison and wife Athena; two great grandchildren, Sapphire and Annalise; sister, Rillie Robbins of Winnabow.

    Funeral services will be held Thursday July 19, 2012 at 11am at the chapel of Peacock-Newnam &White Funeral Service. Entombment will follow in Cape Fear Memorial Park Mausoleum with full military honors.

    The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

    Charlie Jones, Sr, 83, of Kill Devil Hills, NC passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022, at home surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marion Everton Jones. They loved to travel, and Charlie loved to be outdoors; golfing, running, hiking, swimming, biking, and kayaking especially after retiring to Kill Devil Hills at age 70 after 54 years in construction in Virginia.

    He was born on December 24, 1938, in Beulaville, NC to the late Billy Pigford Jones and Florence Thigpen Jones and was sadly predeceased by his only son, Charlie Jones, Jr.

    In addition to his wife, Charlie is survived by siblings, Billy, Kenny, Sherwood, Lucille, Ronald, Linda, Doug and their families. He leaves behind to carry on his fierce family pride three daughters, Darlene Barnette, Mary McCarron (Bud), April Morgan (Kenny); and daughter-in-law, Sue Jones; nine grandchildren, David Sharp (Lauren), Amber Locklear, AJ Jones, Kasey Hughes (Jesse), Ryan McCarron (Katie), Zach Jones, Abbey Whibley (Matt), Konner Morgan (Shawna), and Kellie Phillips (Jaime); six great-grandchildren, Jon Locklear, Britney Locklear, Ava Sharp, Emma Sharp, Walker McCarron, and Nora Morgan; and many nieces and nephews.

    Charlie never met a stranger and formed close bonds with friends and neighbors. He was very active in his church where you can join the family for a Celebration of Life on Monday, August 8, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Outer Banks Presbyterian Church, 907 S. Croatan Hwy, Kill Devil Hills, 27948, 8.5 milepost on the bypass.
