In the first place, he wasn't from Ireland and in the second place he died single without children. The Cason and Casson name probably had a common origin and is English. It is possible that the family originally was from Normandy and came to England with the conquest, but this hasn't been proven. No doubt, some members of the family have moved from England to Ireland, possibly Northern Ireland, but the family is English. William Cason was issued a Coat of Arms in England in 1379.
