Mr. Wildes was born in Wayne County, was a retired Civil Service Employee of Warner Robins AFB, a VietNam Veteran of the U.S. Army & the U. S. Air Force Reserves, member of Empire Baptist Church and was son of the late Lacy M. Wildes. Survivors: wife, Elizabeth Askew Wildes; his mother, Martha Rose Wildes; two daughters, Tasha W. Shepard (Paul) and Darla Elrod; one son, Larry D. Elrod (Angela); grandson, Daniel Shepard; four sisters, Carolyn Stewart, Marlene Hill, Lacine Williams and Marilyn Roberson; two brothers, McKinnon Wildes and Wayne Wildes; two step-grandchildren, Shannon Morrison and Justin Wright. The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 11, 2008. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman is serving the Wildes Family.
