- Bryant Wilkinson, 90 years old, of West Palm Beach, FL died on Thursday, October 6, 2004 at Hospice of Palm Beach County. Formerly of Welaka, FL, he was a resident of the Palm Beach area since 1924 and a graduate of Palm Beach High School, Class of 1933. Mr. Wilkinson was a Veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Army. He was a member of Wagg Memorial United Methodist Church since 1954; a former 25 year Member of the West Palm Beach Civitan Club; and a Life Member of the B.P.O.E. # 1352. Mr. Wilkinson owned and operated Wilkinson Transfer and Storage Company from 1927 until his retirement in 1979; and was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Sweat Wilkinson who died in 1999.
He is survived by two sons, Henry Wilkinson, Jr. and his wife Lori of West Palm Beach, FL, and Jim Wilkinson of Tequesta, FL; a daughter, Judy W. Matthews and her husband Bob of West Palm Beach, FL; his brother, John Davis Wilkinson of Inglis, FL; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends this evening, Friday, October 8, 2004 from 5:30 until 8:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 1201 South Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Christopher McNeill, Pastor, officiating. The graveside committal, including military honors, will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, West Palm Beach, Fl. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Wilkinson's memory to: Wagg Memorial United Methodist Church, 4401 Garden Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33405.
