She was born February 5, 1953 to the late John Thomas and Lucile (Merritt) Cooper in Ray City, Ga. She attended New Covenant Church. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband James Berger, two brothers Danny Ray Cooper and Jerome Cooper and a sister Betty Joyce Gray.
