- Lester Walker Prescott, Jr., 69, a retired HUD Environmental Engineer, died Saturday of a heart attack.
The memorial service is at 10 am, Thursday, June 16, at R.T. Patterson Funeral Home at 500 Harbins Road, Lilburn, GA.
Lester was born September 19, 1941 in Jacksonville, FL and is survived by his two daughters, Pamela Prescott and Laura Stanford; a brother, Melvin Prescott, and a sister, Freida Marie Paul; two grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Earned degrees at Georgia Tech, where he was a gymnast and member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, and Georgia State University.
Worked as an aerospace engineer prior to joining the federal government, from which he retired in 2002 after 24 years.
Active member of the Northwest Unitarian Universalist Congregation.
Known for his generosity to family, friends and acquaintances alike, and his forever smile.
