Death	Eleene Collins Powell June 8, 2005 Eleene Collins Powell, 83, died Monday, June 6, 2005 at Metter Nursing Home. The Tattnall County native and lifelong resident was a homemaker and a beautician. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Collins Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Powell, and a daughter, Sally Powell. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Rufus and Barbara Powell of Bainbridge, Don and Debbie Powell of Collins; two daughters and a son-in-law, Nina "Nicky" Phillips, Elyce and Ralph Robinson, all of Columbia, S.C.; two brothers, Vernon Collins of Jacksonville, Duval, Florida and Rev. Ray Collins of McDonough; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral servies will be held Wednesday (today) at 2 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, with burial in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Rev. Tab Smith, Rev. Sterling Bargeron and Rev. Ralph Robinson III will officiate. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Deacons of the Collins Baptist Church will be honorary pallbearers.
