- Victoria L. "Vicky" VanEtten, 64, of North St. Died Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Kingston City Hospital.
Born Aug. 17, 1946 in Brooklyn she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Victoria Pilato Gaddy.
An area resident for many years her family was very important to her. She was a active member of the Conservative Party, where she was a political activitist for land and water conservancy. She currently was involved with supporting Veteran's and Military families. She was a member of the Centerville Fire Company Ladies Auxillary and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a former member of the Grant D. Morse PTA.
Survivors include her husband, Harold "Harry" VanEtten, with whom she recently celebrated her 32nd Wedding Anniversary. Four sons: Stephan Jablonski of Kingston, Harry of Palenville, Gus of Saugerties and Victor VanEtten of Port Ewen. One sister: Christine Ashdown of Kingston. Four brothers: Roderick Gaddy and Don Almeida both of Houston, Ed and Ken Gaddy of Kingston.Two grand children: Carter VanEtten and Shane Jablonski. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Her funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc cor. of John & Lafayette Sts.
Friends will be received Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Centerville-Cedar Grove Fire Co. will meet at 7:45 p.m. Sunday.
