Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Howard Suggs, 87, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Lake City Medical Center. She was born in Glen St. Mary, Florida to the late Lindsey and Bessie [Bryant] Futch and had lived in Lake City for the past 60 years, coming from Starke, Florida.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great and great great grandmother who devoted her time to her family and to being a hairdresser for 50 years as well as owning both the Kit Kat & Lindy Lou Restaurants. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her two brothers, Paul and Lindsey Futch.
Survivors include her son, Wesley P. Howard of Woodword, OK; daughters, Lorene Odekirk of Bountiful, UT, Linda G. Dye of Wellborn, FL, and Teresa Scandizzo of Lake City, FL; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 22, 2014 in the chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with David Ross officiating. GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 South US Hwy 441, Lake City, Florida 32025. (386) 752-1954
