  	William Edward "Ed" Ritch, 81, a resident of Lake City, Florida passed away December 1, 2010 at the V. A. Medical Center, Lake City, Florida. Mr. Ritch was a lifelong resident of Columbia County and is the son of the late Vernon and Vera Pearce Ritch. Mr. Ritch is preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and Ellis Ritch and two sisters, Lucille Waters and Mabel Johnson. He was a honorary member of the Lulu Hunting Club and the Palestine Hunting Club. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World, a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Army and had worked with Champion Home Builders for a number of years. He was of the Baptist Faith and attended the Watertown Congregational United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of twenty-seven years Jane Norris Ritch, Lake City, Fl., Two daughters: Elaine Davis (Johnny Hamm) and Wanda (John) Howell both of Lake City, Fl. Three sons: Russell L. "Rusty" Tyre, Jr., Atlanta, Ga., Richard (Beth) Tyre, Jacksonville, Fl. and Christopher Allers, Atlanta, Ga. One sister: Fran (Tommy) Richardson, Ft. White, Fl. and One brother: Morris (Eva) Ritch, Ogden, Utah. Five Grandchildren, Michele (Chad) Padgett, Richard (Mandy) Tyre, II, Brad (Kathy) Howell, Connie Goings and Ashley Tyre. Seven great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Ritch will be conducted Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Ogburn, officiating. Interment will follow in the Scott Cemetery, Lake City, Florida. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 9:00-11:00 just prior to the service at the funeral home. Guerry Funeral Home, 2659 SW.
