Charles Lyman Green, Sr. 70, Macclenny, died Wednesday, October 2, 1985 at University Hospital, Jacksonville, after a short illness.
The Columbia County native was a longtime resident of Lake Butler, where he owned and operated Green's Barbecue Restaurant for 30 years. He moved to Macclenny four years ago and operated Green's restaurant in Macclenny. Mr. Green was a member of the First Christian Church of Lake Butler.
Survivors include his daughter, Ruth Lobby of Macclenny, five sons, Charles L. Green, Jr. of Lake Butler, A.C. Green of Ellisville, Bill Roberts of Greenville, Eddie Roberts of Palatka and Dennis Roberts of Lake City, a brother, George of Lake City; four sisters, Lois Batchelor of Jacksonville Beach, Irma Lee O'Neal of Ocala, Sevena Baum of Jacksonville Beach, and Doris Moore of Live Oak. Eleven grandchildren also survive.
