- Jimmie Ashe 91, of Lake City passed away June 26, 2010, peacefully at the Avalon Nursing and Care Center in Lake City after an extended illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Lake City. He was the son of the late Lewis Ashe and Ola Christie Ashe.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years Tweedia Regar Ashe.
He was retired heavy equipment operator with the Columbia County Road Dept. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Lake City Ward.
He is survived by two daughters: Avie R. Bridgeman (James) of Alexander City, Ala. And Laura Woods (Wilbur) of Live Oak. Two sons: Jimmie L. Ashe (Tammi) of Lake Butler and Woody Ashe of Riverview, Fla. Two Brothers: Lonnie Ashe of Brandon and Palmer Ashe of Salt Lake City, UT. His Sister: Sadie Tuten of Tampa. Ten Grandchildren and Seventeen Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 A.M. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Lake City Ward with State Pres. Josh Smith conducting the services.
Burial will follow in Douglas Cemetery near Lake Butler.
ARCHER FUNERAL HOME of Lake Butler is in charge of arrangements.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
