  	Edwin G. Hallman age 73 of Snellville passed away Wednesday, January 09, 2013. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Maranatha Baptist Church, Lilburn, with Dr. Jim Stallings & Rev. Jim Hyatt officiating. The burial will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Garden. Mr. Hallman was the son of Winnie Davis Tootle Hallman and grew up in Mendes, GA, graduated from Glennville High School, served in the U.S. Army Reserves at Ft. Jackson, SC. He retired after 33 years of service with DeKalb County as Chief Development Inspector. He was a charter member and Deacon at Maranatha Baptist Church. Mr. Hallman was preceded in death by sisters & brothers; Jewette Waters, Marquette Waters, Pete Hallman, Lucille Waters, and granddaughter, Lindsey Benton. He is survived by his Wife of 51 years: Ernestine Tallent Hallman, Snellville; Daughters & Sons-in-law: Stephanie & Mike Cooper, Newborn, GA; Sheri & Tim Benton, Loganville; Sister: Novis Clifton, Woodland, AL; Grandchildren: James & Sarah Cooper; DeeAnn & Casey Kendrick; Elizabeth Cooper; Megan Benton; & Natalie Benton. He was loved and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maranatha Baptist Church, 1095 Martin Nash Road, SW, Lilburn, GA 30047.
